Support Understanding Social Determinants of Health New The ABO hosted Dr. Eve Higginbotham to speak to the Board of Directors, Exam Development Volunteers, and staff on August 12, 2022 about this topic. The ABO welcomed Mary I. O’Connor, Co-founder, and Chief Medical Officer of Vori Health, who spoke to the Board about her efforts to enhance faireness within the orthopedic surgery community, specifically related to understanding social determinants of health on health care processes and outcomes. Items related to the Social Determinants of Health are included in all ABO assessments.
